We love Fiats at Metro Salvage car salvage yard Bolton. This Punto GT has a 1.4 litre petrol engine. But it is going nowhere fast as it has been brought into our salvage yard for breaking. Here to be destroyed this turbo charged 1.4 petrol was once a pretty good car believe it or not. But now the only thing we will do with it is strip it down for second hand car parts for resale. After this the car will then be depolluted in the proper manner and thrn crushed to recycle the metal.
Check out this Hyundai Coupe 1.6I in green with a 1.6 litre petrol engine, landed at our car breakers yard in Bolton! Hyundai never really took off in the UK, Not as much as other car company but somehow year on year they still manage to keep their head above water. So when one does come into our scrap yard. We like to keep it on the shelf for spare parts as there are not many about. This r reg 1.6 Petrol once was someone’s pride and joy but the owner decided that it was time to be scrapped. After the car is stripped of its parts the car will then be put through a depollution process to government guidelines and then crushed into a cube.
This is a fourth generation Ford Fiesta being brought in as a scrap car. The MK4 Fiesta was released in 1995 but this is the later facelift what was released in the year 2000. Fords engine range on this model is from 1.2 to the larger 1.6 litre engines. But this car is now well past its sell by date and is now going to be depolluted and crushed.
We love Fords at Metro Salvage car salvage yard Bolton. This Focus LX has a 1.6 litre petrol engine. The engine code FYDA what is a common type of engine for the Focus. This car has been brought into us because the gearbox has finally had its day. Whilst the previous owner was doing his weekly shopping trip the car suddenly wouldn’t engage in first and second gear. At this point Metro salvage came to the rescue and collected the car for scrap as the owner decided the car has had its day.
This black Vauxhall Astra Sport 16V with a 1.6 litre petrol engine has just landed at our car breakers yard! This Astra is of the fourth generation ( MK4 ) was released in 1998 and ran a lengthy period until 2004 when the MK5 was released. The 1.6 litre Astra G produced 101 BHP when new but as this car has been battered a bit through its time. I am sure it is nowhere near the 101 BHP as it claims. Now this car will be broke for many car parts and sold to various exporters and private customers.
Check out this Toyota Avensis GS D-4D in aluminium with a 2 litre diesel engine, landed at our car breakers yard in Bolton! It has come in for scrap because the owner has a brand new car the lucky guy. So we now have the pleasure of breaking this old x Reg beast for second hand car parts. Looking good all round the front end is in good condition and runs like a dream.

Here at Merto Salvage wehave this Nissan Micra E For breaking. We are breaking this car because of the damage on the passenger door. But the rest of the car is still in good condition for second hand car parts. The engine in this Micra is the common 1.0 litre petrol as you will see in most Micra’s. In 1992 Dewoo separated from General Motors. And off that they went end developed the Daewoo models based on older cars from General Motors. From that came the well-known Lanos in 1997. We love Peugeots at Metro Salvage car salvage yard Bolton. This 406 LS 16V has a 1.8 litre petrol engine. Here at Metro Salvage we are scrapping this 1999 Peugeot 406. The 406 is a bit of a funny model from Peugeot because this is the first of the 406. Much biased on its predecessor the 405, there is not that much of a great change really. But in 1999 they released this facelift model it did rather well. But as usual this one is only good for spare parts. Although not the most popular car in the world the Vauxhall Tigra A raised quite a lot of interest with glass boot and funky shape when it was released in 1998 to early 1999. The Tigra A was the first of its kind around. Originally is was the concept car of the well-known Corsa B. The next generation of Tigra was the more glamorous Tigra Twin Top B. It was released in October 2004 and did surprisingly well with its sales because of the slick new look. Later in 2005 they decided to put a diesel engine in it. And for once the first one worked! But seen as the one we have is a W REG and it looks a little knackered. It is time to be depolluted and crushed for this old chariot.
