This Ford Focus LX just arrived in at Metro Salvage's scrap car specialists today. 1.8 litre petrol engine, here for breaking. The engine in this beast is a 1.8 petrol with a maximum output of 113BHP. As with every car this one has finally come to its day of destruction. Now this Focus will be put on a rack there the parts will be for sale and the later destroyed
1999 Ford Focus Zetec with 1.8 l petrol engine for car breaking at our Salford scrap metal yard – MS9030
This is the mk1 first generation Ford Focus. Made and released in 1998 the Focus was an exceptional car at its time. With the massive headlights shaped into the bonnet and no other car had anything close to this design. Everybody wanted one, so when it was released the sales rocketed. But it is in a bit of a sorrowful state now as the gearbox has blown and the Focus had to be recovered to our scrapyard. It is a bit of a bleak future for this ford because the only thing that is going to happen to it is to be broke for spare car parts.
2001 Ford Fiesta Flight in aluminium/silver, in for car parts – MS9032
This is a fourth generation Ford Fiesta being brought in as a scrap car. The MK4 Fiesta was released in 1995 but this is the later facelift what was released in the year 2000. Fords engine range on this model is from 1.2 to the larger 1.6 litre engines. But this car is now well past its sell by date and is now going to be depolluted and crushed.
2001 Ford Focus LX in red, here to be destroyed – MS9028
We love Fords at Metro Salvage car salvage yard Bolton. This Focus LX has a 1.6 litre petrol engine. The engine code FYDA what is a common type of engine for the Focus. This car has been brought into us because the gearbox has finally had its day. Whilst the previous owner was doing his weekly shopping trip the car suddenly wouldn’t engage in first and second gear. At this point Metro salvage came to the rescue and collected the car for scrap as the owner decided the car has had its day.
1999 Ford KA 1.3 in mauve/purple/violet at our car breakers yard in Bolton – MS9034
The 1999 Ford KA of the first generation was all a bit like riding in a cardboard box with wheels and a 50cc go-kart engine. Although they did really well because they were cheap and the insurance was the price of a bag of toffies. Only because if you had a crash you would more than likely end up squashed. Or even decapitated if you was in the convertible. Although these little cars carried on like machines barley ever broken down. They were more like mini tanks but built out of paper. But this one has finally died as its 17 year old owner decided to everywhere in second gear and blew the clutch. So the lad finally got to the conclusion in his own mind and that was “time to scrap my car”
1999 Ford Galaxy Ghia 16V in black, in for car parts – MS9012
This fancy Ford Galaxy was recovered from a home in Manchester. What once was a family car is now ready to be scrapped. Although it is a old T REG car we will still break this for second hand spare parts because there are still many of these cars about. We will remove the engine, gearbox, wheels and any liquids within the car and then one or two use full parts. After this the car will be squashed into a cube then off to the metal foundry.
