2007 Peugeot 307 S hatchback, here to get scrapped – MS9064

2007 Peugeot 307 S, 1.6 litre petrol engine, here at our car breakers – if you’re from the North West then come check it out! This 307 was involved in an accident destroying the driver’s side doors. We got this car in one of the many auctions we are involved with. We were the highest bidder and know it is in our yard breaking for spares. The engine and gearbox are in perfect working order. The engine is a 1.6 litre petrol and in perfect condition. We have run it up to temperature and had our mechanic give it the all clear for resale. The gearbox is a semi-automatic 6 speed. It has also been tested through every gear and been given the all clear.

2001 Peugeot 206 GLX 16V hatchback in our car breakers – MS9029

The Peugeot 206 is a bit of an interesting model. It didn’t really have much change in the car in a full 10 years. In fact the only change they did make was a bit of a cheap facelift in 2003. Proving to be an outstanding first car if you was 17 and couldn’t afford anything else. This means they sold millions. With the engine ranging from a tiny 1.0 litre to an impressive 2.0 litre engine. It didn’t matter if you was 21 or 36 because they had a 206 to suit you. And because so many of these cars were sold in the late 90’s and early 2000. It seems like they have all of a sudden they have all just broken down in one year. Because at our scrap yard over the last 15 month they have been ten a penny. 1999 Peugeot 406 LS 16V in grey – MS9026

We love Peugeots at Metro Salvage car salvage yard Bolton. This 406 LS 16V has a 1.8 litre petrol engine. Here at Metro Salvage we are scrapping this 1999 Peugeot 406. The 406 is a bit of a funny model from Peugeot because this is the first of the 406. Much biased on its predecessor the 405, there is not that much of a great change really. But in 1999 they released this facelift model it did rather well. But as usual this one is only good for spare parts. 1998 Peugeot 306 LX

This Peugeot 306 LX from 1998 just rolled through the gates at Metro Salvage car salvage yard. A bit of a nice looking one this is but it is just a shame that the head gasket has gone. Normally you would fix a head gasket problem on a car but seen as this 306 is such a common car and it an old 1998 R registered car it is hardly worth it as I think it is at the end of its days now. This car was collected from the Bolton area which is where our yard is situated. With little other damage to the car just the odd bump and scrape. It will more than likely used for spared or if not just simply crushed for the metal weight.

1997 Volkswagen Passat Sport TDI with 1.9

This Volkswagen Passat Sport TDI is here at our scrap car specialists today. Although back in its hey day of 1997 when the car was first registered. It is now not a pretty sight much like most of my work colleagues. Looking a little tattered around the edges but mainly a good car to the previous owner. Until one day when the clutch went, it is not a major problem but considering its age the owner thought best to turn it in to the metro salvage scrap yard. Probably being the wise decision at that. The owner was happy with the price we paid him and following a swift hand shake the car was collected from Accrington from his home address and with the DVLA paperwork sorted before we knew it was sitting in our yard for breaking.
